The American International School of Vilnius is implementing a project titled “Modernisation of the American International School of Vilnius”, project ID 09.1.3-CPVA-K-723-03-0009, funded under "Modernisation of Non-state Spaces of Informal Education, State and Non-state Schools", measure 09.1.3-CPVA-K-723 for the implementation of “Educating the Society and Strengthening the Potential of Human Resources”, priority axis 9 of the Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments.
Project objective: Improving the effectiveness of school activities and establishing an educational environment to promote creativity. An important element of the school’s educational process is the hands-on application of knowledge and skills; the process also promotes creative and analytical thinking and involves a great deal of project and independent work. The school focuses on modern teaching: by using cutting-edge and innovative teaching aids, the teaching process is rendered more effective and has a greater lasting value, engaging students to become interested in the subject at hand. Visual and remote capabilities make it easier for the teachers to convey information. The completion of the project will put the school in a position to offer a more effective and innovative learning process. The focus group of the project is children of ex-pat diplomats, entrepreneurs, and families that have a permanent residence in Lithuania, grades 1–8 and gymnasium grades I–IV. The project activities are the modernisation of the school’s learning and creative spaces. The project will involve installation of special equipment in subject-specific classrooms, modernisation of the sciences lab and other learning spaces with a heavy emphasis placed on robotics and programming classes.
Project activities:
1. Renovation of subject classrooms;
2. Installation of equipment for robotics and programming classes;
3. Renovation of the technology classroom;
4. Modernisation of the STEAM laboratory.
Project period: 7 November 2018 through 31 November 2019.
Tarptautinė Amerikos mokykla Vilniuje įgyvendina projektą „Tarptautinės Amerikos mokyklos Vilniuje modernizavimas“, projekto kodas Nr. 09.1.3-CPVA-K-723-03-0009, finansuojamą pagal 2014–2020 metų Europos Sąjungos fondų investicijų veiksmų programos 9 prioriteto „Visuomenės švietimas ir žmogiškųjų išteklių potencialo didinimas“ įgyvendinimo priemonę 09.1.3-CPVA-K-723 „Nevalstybinių neformaliojo švietimo erdvių, valstybinių ir nevalstybinių mokyklų modernizavimas“ .
Projekto tikslas – didinti mokyklos veiklų efektyvumą bei kurti kūrybiškumą skatinančią ugdymo aplinką. Mokyklos organizuojamame mokymo procese ypač svarbus žinių ir įgūdžių taikymas praktikoje, skatinamas kūrybinis ir analitinis mąstymas, vykdoma daug projektinių bei savarankiškų darbų. Mokykla orientuota į šiuolaikišką mokymą – pasitelkiant modernias ir inovatyvias mokymo priemones, mokymas vyksta kur kas efektyviau ir turi didesnę išliekamąją vertę, labiau sudomina ir įtraukia mokinius domėtis mokomuoju dalyku. Mokytojams tampa lengviau perteikti informaciją, kai turi vizualines ir nuotolines galimybes. Įgyvendinus projektą, mokykla galės pasiūlyti efektyvesnį ir inovatyvesnį mokymosi procesą. Projekto tikslinė grupė – 1–8 klasių ir I-IV gimnazinių klasių į Lietuvą atvykusių diplomatų, verslininkų ir nuolat Lietuvoje gyvenančių šeimų vaikai. Projekto veiklos – mokyklos mokymosi ir kūrybinių erdvių modernizavimas. Projekto metu bus įdiegta speciali įranga mokomųjų dalykų klasėse, modernizuota gamtos mokslų laboratorija ir kitos mokymosi erdvės, didelis dėmesys bus skirtas robotikos ir programavimo pamokoms.
Projekto veiklos:
1. Atnaujinamos mokomųjų dalykų klasės;
2. Diegiama robotikos ir programavimo pamokoms reikalinga įranga;
3. Atnaujinamas technologijų kabinetas;
4. Modernizuojama STEAM laboratorija.
Projekto įgyvendinimo laikotarpis: 2018m. lapkričio 7 d.– 2019 m. lapkričio 31 d.
