IB DP WEEK WITHOUT WALLS for Grade 11 in CRETE

The IB Program aims to develop multicultural understanding of all Diploma students in order to make the world a better place. In keeping with the mission of both the IB Program and AISV, the IB DP Week Without Walls in Crete introduced students to a new culture and language, helped them to create a digital portfolio in which students reflected upon the meaning of their CAS experiences. Students participated in a number of activities related to the three strands of CAS – creativity, activity and service. These included diving, hiking in the gorge, cooking lessons, art workshop, exploring ancient and modern Cretan cities of Rethymno, Heraklion, Knossos Chania and other small villages, and working on a local service project – beach clean up where a special to Crete species of sea turtles lay their eggs.
