Community Service

Community Service is an integral part of the Educational Program for the high school at AISV. The purpose of the program is:

  • To encourage students’ responsible citizenship,
  • To increase  students’ awareness of the world around them,
  • To give students firsthand experience in altruistic activities,
  • To increase students’ sense of responsibility, self-esteem, self-confidence and self-reliance,
  • To give students an insight into different social patterns and ways of life,
  • To provide students with an opportunity to use their developing knowledge, skills, and talents by exploring new possibilities, embracing new challenges and adapting to new roles

Involvement in community service experiences and projects enables students to develop appreciation, respect, and  a sense of responsibility for the environment, to build relationships, to respond to others’ needs and to enhances appreciation and respect for different cultures.

Students join activities, experiences and projects already taking place at school or initiate new ones. Service throughout the student’s high school career is a part of the AISV graduation requirements.

  • AISV Green Team
  • AISV HS Student Council
  • Organising & volunteering/ helping at events at school and outside
  • AISV Ambassador program
  • Teachers’ aides (Art, IT, Library, Science, Math etc)
  • Co-coaching & tutoring at school and outside
  • Clean ups
  • Animal shelters
  • Supervising little kids at school and outside
  • Helping at international events (Blossom of Hope, ICCB etc.)
  • Drives and donations to charity organizations
  • Advocacy campaigns
  • Volunteering for NGOs and charities
