Community Service

The AISV Community Service Program is rooted in the School’s Guiding Statements, particularly in our values:

  • Empowered international community

  • Meaningful learning opportunities

Community service is an integral part of the educational program in the Middle School at AISV. The Middle School Student Council, the National Junior Honor Society and the advisories spearhead community service efforts for the division. Involvement in community service experiences and projects enable students to develop appreciation, respect and a sense of responsibility for the environment, to build relationships, to respond to others’ needs and to enhance appreciation and respect for all cultures.

Students have opportunities to join activities, experiences and projects during the school day, on field trips or as extracurricular activities.

Some examples of AISV Middle School service projects include:

  • Refugee Clothing & Food Drive for new arrivals in Lithuania

  • Green Team Recycling Program

  • Fundraising for local Animal Shelters

  • Club Day events to the local Animal Shelter to walk dogs

  • Earth Day events

  • AISV Ambassador program
