The AISV Saturday English Language School is designed for non-native speakers. The program is based on thematic units and the aim is to teach students while they explore different subject: music, books, arts and crafts, drama and computer classes and presentations. The language of instruction is English. Teachers are experienced AISV regular and additional programs staff.
The program is held on Saturdays on Subačiaus street 41 from 9:30am to 12:30pm in two sessions: September – December; January - May.
Students ages 9 through 12 are tested at the beginning of the program and are placed into groups according to their knowledge of English and the abilities, not according to the grade level at school. All other groups (ages 3-8) are combined of the same age level – three-year-olds with three-year olds, four-year-olds with four-year-olds and so on.Saturday school students should bring a snack for a short break (drinking water is provided by the school). We highly advise the children to also bring the indoor shoes. The little ones sometimes need a pair of clothes to change. You shall find the lists with names, rooms and the schedules posted at the main entrance of the school.
The money is reimbursed only in cases of sickness and a doctor’s note provided for a second or further missed Saturday if the sickness lasted for two weekends in row. (A copy of the doctor’s note for the main school or kindergarten will do.)
