Pre-School Programs (2-6 year olds)

Toddlers Program

Due to lack of classroom space, we will not be offering the Toddlers program for the school year 2013-2014. To register for the Pre-K 3 and 4 program, please contact the admissions officer.

The children need to be at least 2 years old by October 15th in order to start the program. The TODDLER PROGRAM focuses on developing each child’s sense of identity by encouraging independence, giving choices and introducing social guidelines.  Our well-designed environment offers toddlers a chance to participate in art, music, stories, games, group play and individual exploration that will foster co-operation and facilitate the toddler’s strong sense of self. The children of this group represent a variety of nationalities and  language of instruction is English. Our caring staff is trained in early childhood education and are dedicated to meeting the developmental needs of every child.

The program is flexible but provides some structure. The following is the approximate schedule:

Pre-K program for 3&4 year old children

AISV offers a pre-school program for three- and four-year-olds. At AISV we believe that young children develop at different rates and in many areas: gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, self-help, personal, social, and language. The curriculum integrates skills from all areas and focuses on the ‘whole child”. Children are guided and challenged to learn and grow through play, art, music, stories, drama, cooking and outdoor experiences and exploring their environment.

Themes are presented around Big Books, related songs and activities. Assessment of skills and development occur through the year. We provide a warm, caring and supportive environment for every child. See detailed program overview.
