AISV TEAM - 1st place winner of HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH & DEBATE TOURNAMENT IN BAKU

Last weekend four AISV teams took part in HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH & DEBATE TOURNAMENT IN BAKU where they were debating on the resolution "Democracy has been weakened by the news media over the past twenty years" with other teams from international schools of Istanbul, Prague, Kiev, and Tallinn. After points and wins/losses were tallied from the multiple rounds, TWO of our teams (Tracy/Robert & Augustas/Matas) made it to semifinals; that means that out of the fourteen teams at the tournament, two of our teams made top four!!! In those semifinal rounds, one of our teams (Augustas & Matas) went on to compete in the finals and WON FIRST PLACE!!! We are so proud!
