AISV team shows great results in CEESA Swim Meet!

2015.03.17

CEESA Swim Meet took place in Warsaw on March 5-6th, 2015. Thirteen students from middle and high school represented AISV. It is the third time AISV participates in this CEESA biggest sport event. This time it hosted 11 schools and around 200 students. We thank  all the students who represented AISV so well and their parents who were bringing the students to practices early in the morning a few months before the competition.

The best swimmer of the competition was Sofija, our grade 10 student,  who broke all CEESA records in the events that she participated in – in total she broke 6 records. She showed a good example to all students how to compete and raise competition to a higher level.  Sofija won 6 golden medals. Marta (gr. 6)  got one first place and two second place medals. Eitan won a bronze medal - this is a very good start for a new student in our school! Milana took two 4th places in breast stroke events. Middle school girls Milana, Marta, Kandyl, and Simona got  4th place in relay event. Others swimmers tried very hard and showed their best personal results.

AISV middle school girls team and high school girls team got  the fourth place as a team. In comparison to some other schools that have many more students and special facilities for swimming, AISV team showed very good results!

Our  appreciation and congratulations to all the students for participation and to  Mrs. Anderson for chaperoning our team.
