Dear Parents,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you all to the AISV Library! It contains over 10,000 volumes including fiction and non-fiction books, audio books, video, DVD and magazines.

Responsibility
Responsibility is the key word that all the children need to understand when using the library and borrowing books. Students are the ones who must remember when their books are due back at the school.

Book Bags
We ask from Prek-3 till grade 5 students to have “a book bag” to protect books from loss, wind, rain, mud, snow and often dirty hands. Each student will be given a plastic bag during the first library class. Children need to bring these bags to each library class or whenever they want to return or borrow books.

Borrowing and overdue books
Students can borrow a maximum of 5 items at a time, unless their teacher needs them to take out extra books for a specific assignment. Borrowing time is 1 WEEK for any item. If a student hasn’t finished reading a book by the due date, he /she needs to re-check the book out before taking it home again. If a book/video/DVD is more than 2 WEEKS OVERDUE, a notice will be sent home with details of the title, author of the book/video/DVD.

Toddlers will be allowed to check out books/video/DVD with their parents only.

Replacement Costs
If a book/video/DVD is lost or damaged beyond repair, the copy must be replaced by a patron. The cost of replacing the copy with a new one will be calculated, and 30% for processing and shipping cost will be also added.

Parents are welcome to visit the library and borrow books before or after school.
